Metagaming:
In simple terms it is knowing something out of character and using that knowledge in character, even if your character had/has no way of even knowing that information.
This is quiet an annoying habit to get into, which causes many of the other players to shy away from the one who is metagaming. It can be used in many ways; such as while in combat if out of character you know from the players character bio that they are a vampire and still have their heart in tacked within their body, and in character you just met them and a fight began. There would be no possible way that your character would know that A: They were a vampire. and B: That they can be staked in the heart to be killed.
It is understandable that this is hard not to do at times, and sometimes cannot be avoided. But please, try not to at all costs. It is very annoying to the other players as well as the GM/ST.
