One Liners:
In simple terms a one liner is something shorter then a normal sentence. (i.e. He laughed. or She looked puzzled.)
One liners are most commonly frowned upon while role playing. It doesn't give enough for the other players to work with, and if they did make a long and descriptive post a one liner kind of ruins the mood of things. If having trouble thinking of what to post, and are at a loss for words or do no fully understand another players post. Either, ask the player who wrote the post to explain what you don't understand; or don't write anything at all, at least until you can come up with something more then a one liner.
Some points to remember:
If stuck with "She laughed at his silly face." And can't think of anything else to post, try thinking of how her face would look while she laughed. Is she laughing loudly or quietly, or is it a giggle. How is she standing or sitting when this is going on. Does she just laugh or does she say something witty afterwards to poke fun at the person she is laughing at. Is she thinking anything about the situation. Just, think of how you can make your post come alive in the other players minds eye. Remember, this is role playing online; and since no one can see your face or any of the actions you might want to explain to them. Try being even more descriptive in your writing, so that it makes it easier on others to see what you are trying to get across.
