OOC:
In simple terms means Out of Character, which is used during a role play to speak out of the players character. Usually used to ask a question or to make a comment, so that others don't think your character said or thought that.
Most common ways to say the Out of Character are like so:
ooc// OOC: ooc:: ((ooc))
However you use it is fine, as long as it is used before you speak out of character (i.e. ooc// Hey, what did you mean when you said "This is my night, I own the moon and Her eyes" ?) It's just proper and common courtesy to use during an RP so others aren't confused. The less confusion during an RP, the better.
