ST or GM:
In simple term a Story Teller and also in some cases is also known as a Game Master. The Story Teller or Gamemaster's purpose is to weave the other participants' player-character stories together, control the non-player aspects of the boards storyline, and create environments in which the players can interact.
Being the ST/GM requires extra commitment and responsibility than simply writing on the board. While the basic roles of Story Tellers/Game Masters - rules help, moderation, and movement of the storyline.
--Some points to remember when you are the ST/GM of a board--
~ If any of the players on your board are rude, inactive or ignoring the rules you laid down for the board, you have the right to kick them from the board and ask (if so choosing) a staff member or admin to remove their posts as well.
~ If you as the ST/GM only want your OOC to be limited to questions about the storyline, please say so at the beginning of the board.
~ If the board is looking like it is about to die and you want to save it, throw in a few twists so that the players on the board do not lost interest in the storyline.
~ Keep an open communication with your players, so that they don't get lost and are on the same page as you (storyline wise)
~ No one can take control of the events in your thread unless you want them to.
~ As a ST/GM if you make a NPC that is just a filler for the background (i.e A school girl walking to on the road near by with a bunch of her friends who are also school girls) And choose to allow your players to bring the "extra" NPC(s) into one or some of their posts, just for a filler or to allow other PCs to understand their character better through interaction with the use of the "extra" NPC(s). In doing so, please take note to make sure your players do not over do it with the "extra" NPC(s).
---------------------------------
If you feel as though you have been wrongfully kicked from a board, please be sure to contact a Mod or Admin. They will do their best to resolve the situation.
But for the Burning Twilight we will just call the starter of the board the ST. To take it away from the MMORPG outlook of what a GM is.
